The red horn is one of Naples’ most iconic good luck charms. Its shape is inspired by the phallus of Priapus, the ancient deity symbolising prosperity, fertility and abundance.

According to Neapolitan tradition, the horn should never be bought for yourself but always received as a gift, so that it can fully express its symbolic power of protection and good fortune.
