RE MAGI
The Three Kings in the Neapolitan crib are represented by Gasparre, Melchiorre and Baldassarre who carry in gift gold, myrrh and incense. We are faced with three different ethnicities as representing the three human races and in turn the three great parts of the world; Europe, Asia and Africa.. Often the Kings are accompanied by three horses that with their colors represent the passing of the day: Black (night), Bay (noon) and White (dawn)
All the works are made according to the ancient tradition of Neapolitan sculpture. The wooden limbs, the head modeled in terracotta, the oil paint, ensure that each figure has its own characteristics, creating a set of reasons that make these figures true works of art. Furthermore, the movable body makes it possible to adapt the figure to any scene.
